Parker SW Ltd undertakes renovation, extension and conservation work on period and listed buildings across the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas, including Cinderford, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth and Chepstow.

Our work focuses on traditional materials, appropriate methods and long-term building performance rather than cosmetic fixes.

Work suited to older and traditionally constructed buildings

We focus on building work that requires an understanding of how older properties were originally constructed, how they behave over time, and how carefully considered modern interventions can improve their performance without compromising their character.

Recent work on period and historic properties

A small selection of recent projects where context, materials and setting were critical.

Events Room at The Speech House

Design and construction of a new timber-frame events room within the grounds of The Speech House, a 17th-century former hunting lodge in the Forest of Dean. The project required close consideration of scale, materials and setting to ensure the new building complemented the historic structure while meeting modern use requirements.

Locally sourced stone and traditional detailing were used to ensure the new structure sat comfortably within its historic context.
